Beautiful in its own right, but not perfect cosmetics. Someone will love this though! It’s a Rockin pedal.

This pedal is 20% a clone of a Blues Breaker. It’s the only Blues Breaker on Steroids out there. Modifications were done to get the sum of the parts to work to their full capacity.

  • 7660Scpa Charge Pump -9v/9v for internal 18v power by using a standard 9v power supply. This gives the unit much more headroom and body. This circuit is not thin, it is very thick and amplified.

  • Has a slightly stripped down version of my M3B pre-amp that comes after the BB instead of the traditional single stage 9v powered boost. This is a two stage amplified circuit running on the same internal 18v ramp up. Making the grand total of op amp stages for this design FOUR stages opposed to the traditional three in a MG style circuit, and two in the original black/blue BB.

  • Internal GAIN trim pot to control the pre-amp.

  • Internal VOLUME trim pot to control the pre-amp, think of this as your post volume control. Between these two trim pots, it allows the pedal many different settings. This volume drives the last final amplifier stage. Where as the volume on the pedal controls the volume after the BB. THIS PEDAL CAN BE REAL LOUD IF YOU WANT IT TO BE. The two volumes play well off each other.

  • High-Cut Toggle Switch: Helps cut noise causing frequencies when you dime the unit. As well as sculpting new tones at lower settings.

  • Hard clipping mode with internal trim pot to control the amount of clipping. This means you can fade in how much of the sound you want to hear.

In Short: Everything I thought the BB wasn’t, I flipped that all around.

If you are looking for a pedal that will do a wonderful light breakup, and now a good amount of breakup, this is for you. This pedal will take your tube amp to the beautiful land of that edge of break up sound, and even past the edge! This pedal is crisp, full bodied, and defined. It does not have that radio static distortion sound, instead imagine the way a nice clean boost will drive your amp, now imagine that sound, but more overdrive. To me this pedal is what an overdriven guitar is supposed to sound like.
