NEW! (The) AMERICAN FUZZ is a Big Muff but on steroids. It is half original and half civil war style muff. This pedal has a charge pump and half of the circuit runs at 18v with the 9v you supply it. It does this by making the ground -9v! Half of the circuit is op-amp based, half is transistor based. I fully believe in this design. My socks are knocked off, personally. Sonically, these pedals are very well balanced.
As soon as we had a working prototype, down here at Critter we had our jaws dropped.
We A/B'd this pedal to a standard civil war type muff, it was very similar but just all around better in an updated fashion. It sounds conceited to say, but it is how I feel. Bigger, louder, more full, with every tonal frequency well represented.
Full warranty, more bio info to come. Runs on a standard 2.1mm center negative 9v power supply.
